After a devastating fire in Nov 2018 gutted the packing hall at their plant in Kohler street Paarl, KWV appointed HCE for the Project Management, Design, Procurement, Installation and Commissioning of fully automated dual transfer lines including interface detection for wine and brandy. These lines facilitated the transfer from the respective cellar and each line included a dedicated pigging systems. Change over piston valve matrix with integrated CIP capability for routing of product and CIP from any of the cellar lines to either of the two new fillers. Two skid mounted temperature adjustment and twin double product filters for sterile wine and brandy filtration, wine recovery tank per line for product recovery to the fillers. Fully automated four tank five circuit CIP plant for simultaneous CIP of all transfer lines, heating, filter skids and fillers was included with the project. The project was concluded in a record eight months.
