CONTROL & INSTRUMENTATION
Design and Installation of Process Control Systems (continuous or batch) and Building Management Systems using PLC/SCADA or DCS solutions in regulated or non-regulated environments.
MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
Development of detailed design following the process design work to produce detailed manufacturing drawings and schedules. Procurement and installation of mechanical equipment including FAT and SAT. Overseeing manufacturing stages to ensure final product conforms to design requirements.
This service forms part of multi-disciplinary projects. HCE provide this service depending on our client’s needs. We provide front end conceptual engineering and cost estimations to detailed engineering and construction supervision.
CIVIL & STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING
HCE offers a unique contracting model, which typically involves one principal contract between HCE and our clients and direct contracts with all sub-contractors, allowing us direct control over the sub-contractors providing project equipment, building work, plant services and utilities. Following sound contract management principles, We delivery and ensure that changes are managed through formalised change control procedures
CONTRACT MANAGEMENT
Our multi-disciplined engineering team combined with project management expertise offers our clients a hands-on approach to managing projects successfully within the triple constraint of time, cost and quality. We follow the PMBOK guidelines for managing projects over all the process groups of initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling and closing.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Evaluation or design of client processes towards meeting client requirements. Incorporation of processes into design and generation of Process Flow Diagrams, design bases and P&IDs. Evaluation of designs with HAZOP, FMEA and other Risk Assessments. Specification of Equipment to design requirements and generation of equipment datasheets.

WORKSHOP, MANUFACTURE & SITE INSTALLATION
Optimising energy usage, reducing utilities (including electricity) requirements, thereby reducing operating costs and carbon footprint. Typical areas include HVAC Systems Optimisation, Efficient Chiller Management, Hot Water Recovery Systems, Waste Water Recovery Systems, Solar Power Feasibility Study and Electrical Power Metering.
ENERGY EFFICIENCY DESIGN
Quality Assurance through Validation with focus on critical aspects of Facilities, Systems and Equipment (FSE) that have the potential to affect Product Quality, Patient Safety and Data Integrity during design and qualification. We implement project validation lifecycle, viz. URS, Design Development, Commissioning, Qualification, Acceptance and Release with continuous implementation of Risk Management, Design Review and Change Management throughout the lifecycle.
VALIDATION
HCE specialise in the design, construction, commissioning and validation of pharmaceutical standard HVAC systems and Cleanrooms. This encompass the mechanical as well as EC&I aspects, inclusive of fully validated BMS and EMS systems. The systems are designed and executed in compliance with latest multinational cGMP and energy standards, as applicable to OSD, Steriles, Biopharma, Biosafety, API’s, Liquids and Warehouse facilities. Latest CAD software is used for design and modelling purposes, which ensures that the projects are executed efficiently and coordinated with overall designs.
HVAC & CLEANROOM DESIGN
Aided by a state-of-the-art ERP system, our experienced financial department manages the entire supply chain - from raising purchase orders through to settlement, freeing clients from the burden of administering the many suppliers on a project. Budgets, actual and forecast expenses are available in real-time via our Cost of Works Report, providing Project Managers and Clients comfort in up-to-date information. Costs can be easily analysed and audited as all transactions are generated on one system
