Biovac has appointed HCE to design, build and qualify a formulation system with ancillary equipment for the preparation of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. The main equipment included buffer and pooling vessels, mobile transfer vessels, bioburden reduction and sterile filters, PUPSIT, CIP & SIP, 20C cooling system, as well as all valves and piping to enable functionality of the system. A validated Process Automation System (PAS) controls the plant.
